NSI 02
NSI 02 is a no-compromise rifle system comprised of a barreled action, stock, optics mount, and scope. We pick proven components, bond them permanently, then test each example brutally for zero retention. Then, we establish a bulletproof 30-round “zero-angle” and build a ballistic package with real-wold test data to strike targets out to transonic range for your chosen cartridge at your density altitude.

Rifles need to put a bullet where the shooter intends- after being handled by airline baggage systems, driven over rough forest service roads, carried miles, and dropped in scree. That’s a simple but tall order that nearly no rifle systems are capable of. That’s why gun marketing focuses on features, weight, and paintjobs.

It’s tempting to cut custom turrets for your scope with yardages engraved for your most common ballistics. However, modern rangefinding and ballistic computing has evolved to deprecate this practice. Rather, NSI shooters use rangefinding binoculars which output a firing solution in MilRadians which is simply dialed into the stock scope-cap. No phone or index cards need to come between the NSI shooter and their quarry.
The heart of all NSI bolt-action rifles is the Tikka barreled action. While costing half of a naked custom action, the Tikka provides a buttery smooth bolt, truly drop-safe trigger, and accurate cold hammer forged barrel. We cut down the barrel to an appropriate length for your maximum requested engagement distance, and thread it for a suppressor. To cut weight and add rigidity, we semi-permanently bond your action into a stiff carbon fiber stock with ergonomics optimized for shootability under field conditions.
Despite the focus on robustness, NSI 02 weighs less than most custom rifles built off titanium actions. Most examples come in under 9 pounds fully scoped and ready to hunt. Avoiding unnecessary barrel bulk which does not contribute to precision or lethality does most of the weight-saving work.
NSI 02 is simultaneously very inexpensive for a custom rifle and very expensive for a factory rifle. The reason for this is simple - the Tikka action and its excellent trigger fundamentally enable NSI 02 and come with lower costs than custom actions which we feel have unacceptable reliability and safety trade-offs. We offer NSI 02 in a practical set of chamberings: .223, .243, 6.5cm, and 6.5PRC.
The rifle on its own is a small part of the hit-making equation. Drop-resistant optics and a robust interface between scope and action are details that most often let down the modern shooter. The optics we choose from Trijicon, Nightforce, and Maven, pass a stringent drop-test that the vast majority of scopes fail. The mounts we use bypass the installation of a picatinny rail, instead clamping to the Tikka’s excellent built-in rail and securing against threaded recoil lugs.
